Located just south east of the golden gate, this is a beautiful anchorage. It is limited to only sail boats, and if you are over 40 they ask that you call and make a reservation. We never took “Prism” in here, but we had many times on our first boat “TARA”. It’s a fun anchorage with great views of the city and bridge. Getting to shore is easy, but leaving your dinghy on the beach is a “leave at your own risk” type of beach.

All around this anchorage is a great weekend stop to check out downtown SF.
We always took great care and caution when coming into the anchorage as there are a lot of swimmers in the water, and I mean A LOT. You will wake up hearing people in the water starting at 5 am and swimming till dark.
We anchored in 12-17ft in soft mud. The surge can be strong in there, and you tend to do ” the dance” so keep good swinging room from other boats.
Using the MotionX app, this is one of our tracks going into the anchorage
