When we were there: February 2016
Where we anchored: We anchored around 21 30’56″N 105 14’33″W in about 17 feet over sand.
About: YES YES YES! This spot holds the record for the longest ridden wave, and even if you are not a surfer this little bay is worth the stop. I would not call Jon and I surfers, but we sure did enjoy surfing our RED Paddle co. SUP’s in the gental ankle to knee high waves. At sun rise and sun set the Jejenes make their way out to your boat and feast on you if you are not ready for them. While we where there, we were armed with deet and made very fine bug screens, and have only a couple of bites ( mostly from when we were on the beach). We spend days playing on the sand beaches and in the surf, we also did the jungle tour that takes you into Rio Tovara.
What was the water like: Warm but brown
Dinghy Landing: Easy, the swell was small when we were there. The guys on the beach will watch your dinghy for you.
Would we come back: YES
Would we recommend people going: YES
