Birthdays while cruising are always fun, especially when your someplace as beautiful as St.John USVI. It was Christina's birthday aboard our longtime buddy boat @sailing.fin We stopped for the day at Hawksnest Bay to hike up to the @thewindmillbar for birthday drinks and a meal. It was quite the journey but we all made it and where rewarded with ice cold beers, amazing views of our boats and delicious food! So far we have been presently surprised how much we are enjoying the USVI. Now this is the right way to spend a birthday! Thanks for the shot @sailing.fin Sailing into St. Croix a few weeks ago. None of us were prepared to fall in love with the West side of this island, but we did. Exploring St Croix yesterday, this island is beautiful. We started out at the ruins at Estate Mount Washington, then checked out Monks Bath and finished off with a hike up to Hams Bluff Lighthouse. TODAY we made boats out of stuff we could find on the beach. When we lined them all up in the water for the "race" none of them made it very far. 🤣 It was a good laugh though. We sailed down to St. Croix and boy are we glad we did!!!!! We quoted Captain Ron the entire way, even got hit by a little squall 🤣 We have made it to St.Croix and one of the many things to do here is scuba diving. Upon first startup of the season for our compressor the pressure gauge ruptured but luckily nuvair in Oxnard CA had the parts on hand and shipped them USPS where we picked them up at the post office in Frederiksted via general Delivery this morning after only three days since the package was posted in California, impressive! All tanks are topped up and we are ready to do a lot of diving during this lull in the trades. Now as long as our GoPro doesn't kick the bucket we can share some underwater awesomeness in the future. Life is good
